Mid-Autumn Festival

A different kind of mooncake; the same old meaning behind the festival >> a celebration of abundance and a time for reunion with loved ones.

Happy MidAutumn Festival! 中秋节快乐

Of mooncakes and lanterns

The “Sold OutSnow-Skin Mooncake with Champagne Truffle and Ganache, an original Raffles Hotel creation.

Special Thanks to a very kind soul for this wonderful gift.

(Mid-Autumn Festival falls on 22 September this year.)

Do check out: “12 Mooncakes You Don’t Want to Miss in 2010” too.

Besides mooncakes, I miss lighting up / playing with these colourful paper lanterns and candles as well. Used to carry them around in my childhood days during Mid-Autumn Festival every year. It was much more fun then. (I think I will feel out of place to carry them now due to my age.)
